Job Opening: Board Support and Training Coordinator

AASB is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Board Support and Training Coordinator.


Provide direct support and board governance training to school boards, advisory school boards, and charter school APC’s with an emphasis on schools identified as “in need of comprehensive support” by Department of Education and Early Development (DEED). This position is a member of the board development team and reports to the Director of Membership Services.  The job would include designing and facilitating of in-district, board development workshops/retreats, development of on-line, interactive training modules and planning of small conferences and awards programs. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field, a four-year degree in related field is required, Masters preferred.  We have a special interest in candidates that have demonstrated facilitation skills and experience.


This is a full-time salaried position based in Juneau, Alaska.  Significant weekend work is required.  The yearly contract is based on 225 working days. A benefits package is included.
