We hope to see you in April at AASB’s Spring Boardsmanship Academy, April 18-19, 2026, at the Hilton Anchorage! This gathering is an excellent opportunity for school boards to come together, share ideas, concerns, and experiences, and explore ways to collaborate.
This year’s Spring Boardsmanship Academy is focused on:
Saturday, April 18 – Building Boardsmanship Skills Day
Sessions on board performance and student achievement, ISER research on teacher turnover, policy updates, and using data.
Sunday, April 19 – Tribal Consultation in Education Day
Tribal Consultation is a collaborative process between tribal leaders and school districts serving Alaska Native and American Indian students. Sessions will focus on requirements, best practices, and strengthening ongoing partnerships initiated at the April 2025 Tribal Consultation Day.
