The Southeast Alaska Full Service Community Schools (SAFSCS) program have developed School Viewbooks over the past few months in order to share information about specific school site programming and goals as they continue to create spaces in their schools that partner with families and communities.
The purpose of the Viewbooks is to strengthen each FSCS school by documenting their goals, tracking their progress, and connecting stakeholders to the information they need to make informed decisions. This tool will be used to showcase the FSCS work and to guide the growth of that work.
It contains three sections, an overview on the Full Service model, which covers the 4 pillars that make up that model. A section on the data implementation for each site as well as descriptions of two main strategies all schools work towards, Strong Start and Bridging, along with 2 other site specific goals that fall under the model.

During the Spring 2025 FSCS Gathering, we worked with each of our following FSCS schools to create specific goals focused on FSCS: Angoon, Klukwan, Hydaburg, Yakutat, Kaxdigoowu Héen & Sayéik Gastineau.
Each school worked with their site leadership teams to create goals that align with the FSCS work they have done and what the plan to do for the next year.
During the FSCS Gathering this fall, Kaxdigoowu Héen shared their Viewbook that they piloted. They shared the work they were able to do with their site leadership team to create goals that aligned with their focus areas. Then each site was able to work in their site groups to start brainstorming how they would want to create their viewbook and plan to work at each of their leadership teams to align the goals with their larger school goals.
Our AASB FSCS CFL team members were able to continue to work with each school coordinator to continue the work on their viewbook over the winter. Each site has completed their own Viewbook.
These Viewbooks will be valuable to each school to share internally as well as share with other stakeholders about the important work that they are doing at their schools. We are working to create Site Snapshots based on these viewbooks, that will showcase each site’s work towards the FSCS model.
