Sessions on board performance and student achievement, ISER research on teacher turnover, policy updates, and using data.
Sunday, April 19: Tribal Consultation in Education Day
Tribal Consultation is a collaborative process between tribal leaders and school districts serving Alaska Native and American Indian students. Sessions will focus on requirements, best practices, and strengthening ongoing partnerships initiated at the April 2025 Tribal Consultation Day.
School districts are encouraged to invite and register up to 4 Tribal Partners to attend Sunday’s Tribal Consultation Day. This will provide an opportunity for school board members and tribal leaders to connect and coordinate on tribal consultation.

AASB’s Event Cancellation Policy
If an attendee is unable to make an event or make a substitution, the following applies: Up to five (5) business days prior to the event, with written notice, registrants may cancel for a full refund. Please send cancellation requests via email to lmiller@aasb.org. Telephone requests will not be honored.
- Cancellations received within five (5) business days of the event will incur a cancellation fee of $120, as food and materials have been ordered on your behalf.
- There are no refunds for no-shows. No-shows will incur a fee of $120 as food and materials have been ordered on your behalf.
- Exceptions may be made to this policy on a case-by-case basis by AASB. This request must be made in writing by email to lmiller@aasb.org.
