Alaska’s schools face urgent challenges. Join us in Juneau for the AASB Leadership & Legislative Fly-In, February 7–10, 2026, at the Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall, and help advocate for Alaska’s students. The Fly-In for School Board Members & District Leaders features advocacy training, legislative review, and insight into the work of the Capitol.
- Saturday, February 7 is Law & Policy Day, focused on School Safety, with presentations by John Sedor and other guest speakers.
- Sunday, February 8 is Legislative Day, dedicated to advocacy training, current legislation, and understanding this year’s session.
- February 9–10 are reserved for meetings with legislators—please begin scheduling appointments now.
Held concurrently with the Fly-In, AASB’s Youth Advocacy Institute (YAI), February 7–10, offers high school students and their chaperones a unique opportunity to build advocacy skills, learn how a bill becomes law, discuss key education issues, participate in mock testimony, and join legislative meetings on February 9–10 alongside school board members. For YAI information, contact lbrady@aasb.org.
We hope to see you there!
