The Disengaged Teen Book Club

Want to Help Kids Learn, Feel, & Live Better?

Join our virtual book club! We’re exploring The Disengaged Teen: Helping Kids Learn Better, Feel Better, and Live Better

Whether you’re a parent, school board member, or educator, these evidence-backed strategies can help you guide checked-out, stressed-out teens from disengagement to drive, both in and out of school.

How it works:

  1. Sign up here! (The first 25 people to register will receive a free copy of the book!)
  2. Read one chapter per week for 10 weeks, August 3-October 9.
  3. Join the conversation online via AASB Connect (we’ll set you up with an account after you register). We’ll post a prompt for each chapter on Wednesdays, August 5-October 7, to help spark discussion.
  4. Join via Zoom for a talk with author Rebecca Winthrop on Wednesday, October 14, at 12 pm.

Although we encourage you to follow this reading schedule, we welcome you to join at any time and participate however feels right for you!
