Stand Up 4 Public Schools!

AASB is leading an information and advocacy initiative called “Stand Up 4 Public Schools.” School Board members and Alaskans from all walks of life are telling the story what public schools mean to them and their communities.

We are using social media, our website, ads and public service announcements to spread these testimonials. The Alaska initiative is patterned after a national campaign by the National School Board Association.

Great things happen at public schools!

Two well-known Alaskans are helping AASB kick off a statewide effort to Stand Up 4 Public Schools.  Mario Chalmers and John Baker are successful athletes who credit public education for helping them get a good start. Read their statements below.
