The following items must accompany all AASB-facilitated applications:
- AASB Application Form (download form)
- Cover letter
- A minimum of three confidential AASB reference forms; primarily from board members and/or individuals who have supervised the candidate (download form)
- Current resume
- College transcripts (graduate work in administration only)
- Current superintendent certificate (if applicable)
Candidates who do not possess an Alaska Type B Certificate with a superintendent endorsement should begin the process with the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development. (AK DEED 907-465-2800)

The Kuspuk Board of Education is seeking a superintendent for its eight-community school district along the Kuskokwim River in Western Alaska. Candidates should have experience as an assistant superintendent or similar background in a district office; superintendent experience is preferred. The board is especially interested in applicants who have worked in rural or remote communities and have successful experience in implementing a strategic plan, budgets, and able to promote employee professional growth through staff development.
A salary range between $120,000 – $135,000 will be offered the successful candidate. The district provides excellent benefits.

Director of Student Learning– Alaska Department of Education & Early Development
The Department of Education & Early Development is seeking an experienced, committed educator who understands the challenges and diverse needs of school districts across Alaska, and who is able to lead the work of professional educators in the division to meet those needs. The Director of Student Learning will work closely with other division directors to carry out the department’s duties as defined in Alaska Statutes and in federal law.
