The following items must accompany all AASB-facilitated applications:

  • AASB Application Form (download form)
  • Cover letter
  • A minimum of three confidential AASB reference forms; primarily from board members and/or individuals who have supervised the candidate (download form)
  • Current resume
  • College transcripts (graduate work in administration only)
  • Current superintendent certificate (if applicable)

Candidates who do not possess an Alaska Type B Certificate with a superintendent endorsement should begin the process with the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development. (AK DEED 907-465-2800)

Aniak, Alaska

The Kuspuk Board of Education is seeking a superintendent for its eight-community school district along the Kuskokwim River in Western Alaska.   Candidates should have experience as an assistant superintendent or similar background in a district office; superintendent experience is preferred. The board is especially interested in applicants who have worked in rural or remote communities and have successful experience in implementing a strategic plan, budgets, and able to promote employee professional growth through staff development.

A salary range between $120,000 – $135,000 will be offered the successful candidate. The district provides excellent benefits.
