2023 Annual Conference Presenters – RFP
The Association of Alaska School Board’s Annual Conference will be taking place in Anchorage November 9-12, 2023, and we invite you to be a part of it!
This year’s conference theme is “Partnering for Student Success,” and we are seeking engaging speakers who can inspire, educate and connect with our members (school board members and school district leaders) around this topic.
We welcome you to submit a proposal to present a breakout session or snapshot session!
Proposals will be accepted through Friday, September 8, at 5 pm AK Time. AASB will review proposals after this date and then provide additional details upon approval.
Please note that all sessions need to be:
- Geared for school board members
- Be an information-sharing opportunity (not a “concerted” sales pitch)
- Breakout sessions must include at least 1 school district representative.
Breakout Session
These sessions dig in deeper on a topic pertinent to our membership. Sessions are either 1 hour or 1 hour and 15 minutes and will take place Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10.
Snapshot Session
These sessions share education programs, projects, initiatives or strategies in an intimate setting (four 15-20 minute mini-sessions). Snapshot sessions take place Friday, November 10, from 3-4:30 pm.
