CFL Deputy Director

The Association of Alaska School Boards is seeking a Deputy Director to join the Conditions for Learning team. This position will work closely with the Conditions for Learning (CFL) Director and the CFL Manager to oversee and support our growing team at the Association of Alaska School Boards. 

The right candidate will be ready for a high level of responsibility and will have the right balance of skills to build relationships, monitor project progress, help the professional growth of our team, and help the CFL team to expand the impact of our work. The CFL Deputy Director will oversee development and use of organized structures to help AASB and our partners to more strategically address school improvement and community engagement.

Grants Administrator

The Association of Alaska School Boards (AASB) is seeking an experienced and motivated Grants Administrator to join our team. This position provides comprehensive financial oversight of AASB’s grant application, implementation, and accountability processes with the goal of maximizing external funding to support AASB’s mission and support for the Conditions for Learning (CFL) program.  The Grants Administrator helps to ensure that awarded grants and contracts are compliant with funder requirements, ensure effective financial management of grant programs, and coordinate all funder reporting. This position works under the direction of the AASB Finance Officer, but will also work closely with the Conditions for Learning team and leadership.

Policy and Superintendent Search Manager

The Association of Alaska School Boards is seeking a Policy and Superintendent Search Manager to join our team in Juneau. As a member of the Board Development team, this position helps to support the implementation of AASB’s Long Range Plan. This individual will serve as the primary employee responsible for school district policy related work, and superintendent searches. Travel throughout Alaska delivering workshops, presentations, action plan facilitation, and technical assistance to board members, and at times school staff, is required.

The ideal candidate will have an Advanced degree in a related field (Education, Adult Learning, Human Resources, Business, etc.), or at least 5 years of demonstrated applicable work experience or school governance experience, exceptional communications skills, excellent knowledge of technology (including Google Suite), and expert facilitation skills.

Starting salary is $75,000 and a generous leave and benefits package is provided.  Preference will be given to Juneau based applicants, but remote candidates will be considered. Open until filled.

Southeast Alaska Full Service Community Schools Coordinator

The Association of Alaska School Boards is looking for an organized and committed individual with  project management experience to serve as the Southeast Alaska Full Service Community Schools Coordinator.  This position is committed to improving the lives of students in Southeast Alaska. 

The Southeast Alaska Full Service Community Schools Coordinator is the lead project coordinator at the Association of Alaska School Boards for the Full Service Community Schools (FSCS) grant funded by the US Department of Education. 

This position supports each school-based coordinator in Juneau, Yakutat, Hydaburg, Angoon, and Klukwan to achieve the four pillars of Full Service Community Schools. 1) Integrated supports for students and their families (health, mental health basic needs); 2) Learning and enrichment; 3)  Family and community engagement; 4) Collaboration and Alignment
