Alaska offers several ways to vote!
You can vote absentee by mail, fax, or online delivery, or choose early and in-person voting options.
Now is the perfect time to decide how and where you’ll cast your vote. Here are some helpful resources to get started!
Important Voting Dates
Sunday, Oct. 6: Deadline to register to vote or update your registration. Check your registration status here.
Monday, Oct. 21: If voting “absentee” in-person, early voting begins.
Saturday, Oct. 26: If voting by mail, the deadline to request an absentee ballot.
Monday, Nov. 4: If voting by-fax or email, the deadline to request a ballot by electronic transmission.
Tuesday, Nov. 5: Election Day! Polls are open from 7 am to 8 pm AKDT. Find your polling place location by entering your information here.
Register to Vote or Update Your Registration
Online Registration: Register to vote online here, or print an application here and deliver it to any Division of Elections office by mail, email, or fax.
In-Person Registration: Visit any Division of Elections office or a voter registration agency to complete your registration in person.
Election Day Registration: For the general election only, you can register to vote on Election Day at the polls by completing a “questioned ballot” or an in-person “absentee ballot” at an in-person absentee voting location.
