Job Opening: Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership, UAS

Position Summary:

The Alaska College of Education at the University of Alaska Southeast (UAS), is seeking qualified applicants for a faculty position in Educational Leadership. The qualified candidate will be expected to: coordinate the two education leadership programs, teach education leadership classes; supervise education leadership students; establish and maintain relationships with public schools and state agencies; and perform college, university and community service. This is a permanent, tenure-track position with salary and rank based on experience. Desired start date is June 1, 2020. The position is located in Juneau, Alaska.

The Alaska College of Education values collaborative scholarship, and the person in this position will be expected to work with colleagues to teach graduate courses, engage in clinical supervision across the state, establish strong ties with colleagues in and across the College and University, work closely on program improvement with administrators in local school districts, and participate in Department, College, and professional service activities. The candidate will also be responsible for all accounting and reporting tied to the two programs’ accreditation. In addition, the candidate will work with other faculty to help ensure continuing unit level accreditation.
