Our Board would like to start holding workshops so we can have a deeper discussion about issues than board meetings typically allow. How do we post for a work session?

Answer:

Work sessions are posted very similar to meetings. You would share the date, time, and location of the workshop, as well as the fact it is a work session of the board, and what items will be discussed at the work session. Remember, no action is to be taken during a work session.

These are also the steps you would take when your board is attending a training session out of your community. POSTING EXAMPLE: “The _____ School District Board of Education will be in Anchorage for professional development at the AASB Annual Conference on November 3-6, 2022.”
